The Georgia Golf Environmental Foundation promotes sustainable environmental stewardship.
GGEF Board of Trustees

Also serving on the Board of Trustees is Richard Staughton, CGCS (Towne Lake Hills Golf Club); Brad Owen, GCS (Augusta National Golf Club); Randy Nichols, CGCS (Nichols Turf Service, LLC); Ray Dillon, Ph.D, CPA; and Tim Farrell (Georgia PGA). Serving as Ex-Officio Trustees are Mike Crawford, CGCS (TPC Sugarloaf); Craig Ketelsen, CGCS (Orchard Hills Golf Club); and Wade Thomas, GCS (Idle Hour Club).
The GGEF Foundation
On April 15, 2004 GGCSA publicly introduced the newly-created Georgia Golf Environmental Foundation, Inc. to the golf industry. The purpose of this Foundation is the advancement of education and research in the field of turfgrass improvement and management; the collection and dissemination of information; environmental protection; and the promotion of public awareness and safety.
The Foundation is exempt from federal income taxation by reason of Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. It may accept, hold, invest and administer contributions, legacies, bequests, devises, funds and property of any sort or nature, and may use, expend, or grant the income or principal thereof for, and devote the same to, the purposes listed above.
