 Rounds4Research 2010 is now accepting donations.  

Click HERE to learn more about Rounds4Research and donate today. The Georgia GCSA is pleased to announce participation in an innovative new program to raise money for turfgrass research. Golf facilities will be asked to donate at least one tee-time for an online public auction at Rounds4Research.com from April 7 to 21. Money raised will provide critical support to the turfgrass research team at the University of Georgia. Members will receive letters soon with full details and a donation form.

OUR CONGRATULATIONS TO…
Mike Crawford, CGCS (TPC Sugarloaf, Duluth) who received GCSAA’s 2010 Excellence in Government Relations Award. Working with the Georgia EPD and UGA, Crawford spearheaded an effort to provide the state with new scientific data on golf course water use, supplementing the water conservation best  management practices already submitted to the state.
 
Anthony Williams, CGCS (Stone Mountain Golf Club, Stone Mountain) who received GCSAA’s 2010  President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship. Williams worked with UGA to develop a detailed water-quality testing program. He played an integral role in GGCSA’s work with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources EPD on a ground-breaking water conservation initiative, creating the Best Management Practices for Water Conservation Program.
