Course Operation: The Country Club of Columbus was established in 1909 by a number of local citizens who shared a fondness for golf. These founders wisely engaged the design services of Donald Ross, arguably golf's foremost architect. Ross designed a spectacular course calling for long, accurate tee shots, accurate iron play, precise handling of the short game and consistent putting. The course features a 6,515 yard par 71 layout. Its distinguishing feature is its small TifEagle greens, protected by many strategically placed bunkers. The club plays host to the Southeastern Amateur every year and is the home of the Haskins Trophy. (Like the Heisman Trophy for golf) This year, we will be hosting the GSGA 4-Ball tournament at the end of April.
Duties: Second Assistant will work closely with First Assistant to plan, direct, supervise and inspect all aspects of maintenance of the golf course. Must have a strong attention to detail and be passionate about the golf course maintenance industry. Second Assistant will make all pesticide and fertilizer applications, maintain complete and proper records and keep track of all chemical and fertilizer inventory. The candidate will be responsible for irrigation repair and troubleshooting. Candidate will participate in the daily maintenance of the golf course greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and clubhouse lawns. Must have working knowledge of all turf equipment such as mowers, rollers, tractors, etc. Other tasks and responsibilities will be assigned by the Superintendent when necessary. There is a strong possibility of advancement within the company.
Salary: 32,000+.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree (AA) or certificate preferred. Minimum of one season golf course experience.

Course Operation: 18 hole private country club. Champion ultradwarf greens, 419 fairways and roughs. Toro Lynx irrigation.
Duties: Assisting the superintendent and 1st assistant with crew scheduling, training, chemical and fertilizer applications and irrigation repair and maintenance.
Salary: $17.00/hr.

Course Operation: 18 Hole private facility on the northern end of Sea Island. We have Tifeagle greens, Celebration fairways, 419 roughs, and diamond zoysia and Tifgrand Tees. Course was built in 1995 by Rees Jones, and renovated in 2007 by Rees Jones again.
Duties: To assist the Superintendent in day to day operations including, but not limited to, chemical/fertilizer applications, accurate record keeping of applications, supervision of crew, and job delegation.
Salary: TBD.

Requirements: Must have 2-4 year degree in Turf related field. Must have obtained, or needs to be able to obtain a GA Pesticide License.

Spray Technician - Southern Landscapes Turf Management

Company Operation: Southern Landscapes and Design is a growing full service landscape company servicing the Metro Atlanta area.  Southern Landscapes Turf Management is a division operating under Southern Landscapes and design.  Our team is made up of career long landscape professionals and turf managers that provide first class service to our customers.  We are a small family owned company that values our employees and puts our customers first. 
Duties: Responsible for applying chemicals and fertilizers to residential and commercial accounts utilizing the Z-spray ride on machine.  Apply products in an accurate, safe, and timely fashion.  Prepare equipment for daily operations.  Calibration of equipment.  Mix and load products per program specifications.  Communicate with customers in a professional and educated manor.  Record and enter application data.
Salary: $15-$18 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements: Positive attitude, self starter, good time management skills. Valid Driver’s license and clean driving recordAble to lift and carry products up to 65 pounds.  Able to work in all elements that include extreme heat, cold, and rainAble to work independently.  Capable of cooperating with superiors, co-workers, and customers.  Possess a Category 24 Georgia Pesticide Applicators license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.  Drug free.
