Course Operation:
Private 18 hole Arthur Hills designed course built in 1987. Redesigned and renovated in 2004 by Mike Riley Golf Design. Consistently rated in Georgia's top 20 by golf Digest. A-1 Bentgrass greens, Tifway II fairways and tees. Some tees with Zeon and some with Zorro. Natural areas with Tall Fescue, Broomsedge, Lovegrass, Muhlygrass.
Duties: Assist with scheduling, training, and management of hourly staff. Monitor moisture in greens, fairways, tees, and water as required. Apply granular and sprayable fertilizers and plant protectants to all areas of course and grounds. Troubleshoot and repair RainBird Par+ES controls. Assist with repair of irrigation line leaks.
Salary: $34,000/year.

Requirements: 2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass management or related field is preferred. Experience is not as important as a great attitude, the will to improve and succeed, and appreciation for detail.

Capital City Club Crabapple is a Tom Fazio design located north of Atlanta opening in June 2002. The course features A-1 greens, Tifsport tees, fairways and roughs with extensive native tall grass areas. Crabapple has hosted several prestigious professional and amateur tournaments including the 2003 WGC American Express Championship, 2017 USGA Mid-Am, 2013 NCAA Div. 1 Men’s Championship, 2016 GSGA Centennial State Am, 2012 AJGA Rolex TOC and the 2005 AJGA Cannon Cup.
Duties: Chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation maintenance, crew management, projects and other golf course maintenance tasks.
Salary: Upper 30's (Hourly).

Savannah Quarters Country Club is a private residential community with an 18 hole golf course and practice facility designed by Greg Norman. Savannah Quarters has Mini-Verde greens and recently completed a total reconstruction of bunkers with capillary concrete.
Duties: The second assistant will work closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendent in all phases of maintaining the golf course and club grounds. This individual will assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications, special projects, irrigation maintenance and repair, as well as supervision of the golf maintenance staff.
Salary: 14.00-14.50 per hour.

Private community in north Georgia mountains with amenities consisting of golf, in-door/out-door tennis, in-door/out-door swimming, fitness center, marina, and hiking trails. The golf course is 27-holes, consisting of 30 bentgrass greens, bermudagrass tees/fairways/rough, and a driving range.
Duties: The successful applicant will assist the superintendent in managing all aspects of the golf maintenance department. In addition to participating in all daily maintenance job tasks, the 2nd assistant will be involved in planning, scheduling, payroll, budgeting and all other duties as deemed necessary by the superintendent.
Salary: $36,000/year.

Duties: Spray Technician II is responsible for detecting and diagnosing damaged turf, plants, shrubs, trees, etc.; determines and applies treatment as necessary. Calibrates equipment to ensure proper application of treatments, monitors the results of treatment, and assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of the Island landscape. In addition to spray responsibilities, the Spray Technician II will also perform upkeep and maintenance of golf courses, including mowing, pruning, and clearing debris as necessary.
Salary: $11.50 - 15.00 per hour.
