When Bobby Jones reopens in Fall of 2018 it will feature a reversible 9-hole golf course, with multiple tees and large double greens, Driving range and 6 hole Cupp Links. Grasses will be TifEagle greens and TifTuff wall to wall. Brand new irrigation system and new equipment fleet.
Duties: Aid the Superintendent in the daily operations of the golf course. Crew safety and supervision, irrigation scheduling, chemical and fertilizer applications. Excellent opportunity to receive construction and grow in experience.

Assistant Superintendent

Griffin City Golf Course

Course Operation:
Griffin City Golf Course is an 18 hole Municipal Golf Course with Champion Bermuda greens, Tifway fairways, tees, and rough. Irrigation renovation starting in 2018. We are owned and operated by the City of Griffin.
Duties: The assistant superintendent will help oversee the daily operations of the golf course. These will include but not be limited to chemical and fertilizer applications, crew management, crew hiring/training, record keeping, etc... The assistant will also be involved in budgeting and agronomic planning.
Salary: $32,000 +.

RiverPines is a single private owner daily fee golf course in Johns Creek that was designed by Dennis Griffith and opened in 1991. We have 27 holes 18 hole championship course and 9 hole par 3.The greens are SR 1020 bentgrass, 419 fairways and rough and some Zoysia tees. Toro Lynx irrigation.
Duties: Candidate should be highly motivated. The Assistant is involved in all areas of course management Scheduling, Managing crew daily, Chemical applications, irrigation repair and any other job required to maintain property.
Salary: $20-$21 per hour.

Course Operation:
Indian Hills Country Club is a 27-hole full private facility, with 18 holes Crenshaw bentgrass and 9 holes of newly renovated TifEagle greens, 419 bermudagrass tees, fairways, and rough designed by Joe Lee.
Duties: Duties include but are not limited to: Assist Golf Course Superintendent with daily operations, daily golf course set-up, lead crew on in-house projects, fertilizer/pesticide application as well as calibration of equipment, irrigation troubleshooting/repair, and all other duties as assigned by Director of Golf Courses and Grounds and GCS.
Salary: $42,000+ Depending on Experience.
Benefits: Uniforms provided, daily lunch from Clubhouse, paid vacation/sick leave, Medical/Dental/Disability Benefits, 401K available after one year, golfing privileges and State/National Association Dues Paid.
Requirements: 2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or a certificate earned in a related program. Ability to receive Pesticide Applicators’ License within 90 days of hire. Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus, Summer Wilt Management on bentgrass putting greens. Experience with management of ultradwarf bermudagrass greens. Self-starter, strong work ethic and the desire to constantly learn and improve knowledge of turfgrass and golf course maintenance.
