Course Operation: Whitewater Creek Country Club is a private 18 hole golf course with Champion Bermuda greens. It is an Arnold Palmer Signature Course. Whitewater Creek Country Club is one of many courses in the Clubcorp family.
Duties: Assist the Superintendent in planning, training, and managing staff to maintain great playing conditions for our members. Assistant Superintendent

Course Operation: The Standard Club is one of Atlanta’s oldest social clubs, but has been at its current location since the 1980’s. The current golf course was designed by Mike Riley and has a great mix of golden age and modern architectural features. Playing surfaces consist of A1/A4 bent grass greens, bermudagrass tees, fairways, and roughs, as well as numerous acres of native grass. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing team and is open to recent graduates with quality work experience and references, as well as to the experienced assistant who wants to upgrade their career track. The greens at the Standard Club are equipped with Sub-Air, Turf Breeze fans.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Senior Assistant and Golf Course Superintendent to devise and implement strategies to maintain the golf course in an efficient and sustainable way. He/she should have a driven mindset and be able to work with enough freedom. This will be an open and engaging work environment meant to derive new ideas and a “think outside the box mentality” which develops into a superior learning culture. Primary responsibilities will include supervising staff, scheduling, applications involving plant protectants and fertilizers, calibration of application equipment, leading staff meetings, project management, helping track expenditures, payroll, course setup, irrigation setup and maintenance, and hand watering functions as needed. This candidate will learn and thrive in maintaining championship level bentgrass greens and bermudagrass playing surfaces with a unique approach. Our current staff prides itself on being able to deliver exceptional, championship playing surfaces to our members and guest pushing the boundaries each day. The person securing this position will have the drive to succeed during challenging environments, that works well within a team environment, can supervise effectively, carry out job responsibilities without oversight, and is committed to the goals of the department.

Assistant Superintendent

International City Golf Club/City of Warner Robins
Warner Robins, GA

Course Operation: International City Golf Club is a 18-hole municipal golf course owned and operated by the City of Warner Robins. Tifdwarf Bermuda greens and Tifway-419 fairways and rough. Along with the golf course we are responsible for 14 city parks which range in use from baseball and football facilities, to passive walking parks and playgrounds.
Duties: This position is responsible for assisting in planning, assigning, supervising and evaluating the work of the grounds maintenance crew and equipment operators engaged in performing a wide variety of work associated with grounds maintenance. Train employees on proper equipment use and following safety procedures. Operate a variety of equipment; tractors, riding mowers, push mowers, aerators, trucks and hand held tools. Perform fertilizer and chemical applications. Assist in irrigation scheduling and repair. Ensure assigned work areas, equipment and vehicles are cleaned and properly maintained. Prepare and maintain related reports and work logs in the absence of the Grounds Superintendent. Works closely with Grounds Crew Leader and Superintendent to ensure all facilities are maintained to the proper standard. Perform related duties.

Requirements: Knowledge and level of competency associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to having a high school education. Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license. Knowledge of methods, materials, procedures and standard practices of golf course preparations and maintenance. Knowledge of general construction practices. Knowledge of equipment and tool operation and maintenance practices. Skill in the use of tractors, riding mowers, push mowers, hand and power tools. Skill in performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Skill in irrigation repair and golf course maintenance techniques. Skill in supervising the work of other employees and in oral and written communication. Commercial Pesticide Applicators preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Course Operation: Sanctuary Golf Club is a Love Golf Design/Fred Couples Signature course, which sits on the Golden Isles of Georgia and represents one of the top semi-private golf facilities in the state. Sanctuary Golf Club is the first project for Love Golf Design that does not bear the name Davis Love III as the signature designer, but it is a partnership that blends the classic design elements from traditional golf course architecture with the techniques of modern day design. The result at Sanctuary Golf Club is a par-72, 7,003-yard layout that is different from the typical residential golf experience and one that is truly unique to the area. By working with the natural features of the land, Couples has created a course that is challenging without being penal, and one that golfers will not tire of playing. Sanctuary Golf club consists of Tifdwarf bermudagrass greens, Tifway 419 bermudagrass fairways and a mixture of Meyer Zoysiagrass and Tifway bermudagrass tees. In 2020 we are in the process of adding capillary concrete to all 43 bunkers and well as renovating tee boxes.
Duties: Sanctuary Golf Club is seeking hardworking, self-motivated individual that is eager to advance their career in the golf course industry. The 1st Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to facilitate and execute all operations necessary to maintain golf course and grounds. The 1st Assistant Superintendent will assist in daily course setup, water management of playing surfaces, monitoring and applying fertility and chemical applications, in-house and contracted projects, and all other agronomic practices necessary to maintain great maintained conditions.
Salary: 40-45k DOE.

Requirements: 2-4 Year Degree in Turfgrass Management or any related agronomic field. Must obtain or possess Georgia Category 24 Spray license. Golf course experience preferred but not required.
